The manufacturing modules, DWOS-CAM and DWOS-RPM, are the interface between the design and production environments. They facilitate the automation of several tasks that are usually performed manually.
Users can create their own blanks from cylindrical or cuboid shapes. It supports several key parameters which include i) geometrical dimensions of the blanks, ii) security distance of the milling tools to the blank’s outer dimensions and iii) automatic generation of milling links and/or sintering stumps.
The available design files are filtered based on dimensional compatibility with the active blank and are easily positioned using ergonomic nesting tools. The milling links and/or sintering stumps are then automatically generated and can be edited on demand.
The DWOS-CAM module has an integrated tool-path calculation engine with the ability to generate milling trajectories for 3 to 5 axis milling machines.

The DWOS-RPM module is the fast path to rapid prototyped frameworks, full contours and models. The module provides automatic generation of build supports and, when requested, automatic generation of identification tags. The design files are positioned with an optimum orientation and nested space within the build platform, providing the ability to maximize the number of cases built at one time, while minimizing the overall print time. Once the nesting and support generation process is complete, a manufacturing batch file is generated to reflect the requested build and is automatically sent to the RP machine to initiate the fabrication process.
